Successful case study: the social media marketing action that won the Cup

Together with the insurance company Sancor Seguros, we celebrated the Copa América with a quiz on social media. With over 34 thousand interactions, it was the marketing activity with the highest number of participants that the brand has ever had. Sancor Seguros is the insurance company with over 70 years of market trajectory that has been our partner for a long time. As a sponsor of the Argentina National Football Team, we chose to make a playful advertising campaign in order to increase brand awareness and highlight the sponsorship.

This is how this social media marketing activity came up: as a timed quiz that had the highest amount of user engagement in the brand´s records. Thanks to this teamwork, Sancor Seguros was able to expand the reach of their Facebook and Instagram posts, their number of followers and also their contact database.

Results that exceeded all expectations

This activity had excellent results in terms of engagement and spreading, exceeding even our own set goals. And it also became a new Successful Case Study:

  • 35 147 participants (an average of 1 400 daily).
  • 1 077 559 users viewed the posts about the contest.
  • 34 608 interactions.
  • 6 396 new followers on Facebook and Instagram.
What did we do?

Users had to enter an app and answer 5 questions about the Argentina National Football Team and the Copa América in less than a minute each. After choosing each answer, the app instantly told users whether their answer was right or wrong. Those who got all the questions right became part of a raffle where we chose, alongside a notary public, 3 winners who received an official shirt of the team each. The winners were announced on Sancor Seguros’ social media.

Alongside the quiz, we uploaded Instagram and Facebook posts, interactive stories with Emoji Sliders, questionnaires, polls and links to the app.

We were in charge of the advertising plan and encouraged direct communication through Email Marketing campaigns for Sancor Seguros´ clients and for participants of previous contests.
